Temporary Corporate Counsel Duties: Advises and assists leadership and team members with a broad range of impacting the company to ensure compliance with policies, external regulations or laws that affecting business practices. Provide legal support and advice to internal clients on a broad range of issues, including general business law, employment related laws, contractual matters, corporate governance, intellectual property and compliance related issues. Assist and advise internal clients regarding litigation matters or other disputes with external clients, physicians and clinicians. Lead responses to internal investigations or legal disputes to achieve desired outcomes that impact business or results; including coordinating with outside counsel, managing internal client expectations, and drafting documents or communication. Manage outside legal counsel engaged by the company on matters requiring specialized knowledge or expertise. Develop self-service tools and conduct training for internal stakeholders or business partners on a variety of legal and compliance issues. Assist department team members with Ethics in Action program, activities, and resources to promote Core Values and commitment to ethics.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelors’ Degree. J.D. Degree. Admission to California Bar preferred. 5 years in the legal field within a corporate or law firm setting. Experience in a public company, and familiar with unique compliance requirements of public companies.
