Job Description:  The candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties necessary for the operation of the contracts department, including (i) communicating with counterparties regarding energy agreements; (ii) maintaining contract-related information in the ETRM system; (iii) reviewing and editing drafts of client proposals, regulatory forms, and other contract-related documents; (iv) assisting in the administration of client agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other legal documents; (v) responding  timely and accurately to contract-related requests from internal and external customers; (vi) assisting with special projects, such as compiling research of legal principles and precedence for a variety of contractual and energy-related issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively analyze contractual issues and make recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate information at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have mastery of MS Word and sound technical writing skills.
  • Preferred working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one year expereince; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Legal, paralegal, or energy industry experience highly desired.
