Contracts Manager R&D The candidate will provide practical and timely guidance on contract related issues escalated by the R&D procurement teams and for the management, drafting and negotiation of contracts necessary for a global research and development organization with a primary focus on supporting company in the US. Will work closely with the law department and business teams to draft and negotiate agreements including service agreements, master service agreements, research collaboration agreements, research funding agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, clinical supply agreements and other research related contracts, training materials, templates and supporting documents such as Alternate Clause (Fallback) guidance. Work closely with legal and business contacts to resolve specific issues raised during contract negotiations.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a J.D. degree. Must have 2+ years of experience supporting research related agreements in the healthcare sector or other technology and innovation driven sectors. Experience drafting and negotiating agreements such as service agreements, master service agreements, research collaboration agreements, investigator initiated research agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other research-related contracts, support materials and training documents is required. Should have an understanding of the contracting process and working with internal constituents and third parties with creativity and judgment relative to executing jobs. Must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret legal language, including identifying and mitigating risk/exposure points. Should be computer proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as contracting process related software.
