ProfileSenior Contracts Professional Responsibilities: Manage a wide array of contractual engagements covering the entire contract life cycle, including new business formation, proposal generation, negotiations, contract formation, change management, and contract closeout. Provides domain expertise in contract management. Administers contracts and monitors contract performance. Acts as focal point for all contractual communications and commitments. Assures compliance with applicable federal regulations and internal policies and procedures. Reviews Requests for Proposals and participates in preparing compliant proposal responses. Negotiates proposals within business goals and documents substance of discussions, agreements and results. Reviews contractual documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions including applicable federal regulations and business team objectives prior to signature / acceptance. Works as a key member of program team to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executed. Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding contract issues, audits, and compliance requirements. Manages contract change process and works with Program Management, Engineering, Finance and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk. Advises and supports business team on issues / developments relative to assigned contracts. Monitors program performance for scope changes and takes appropriate action. Builds customer relationships and knows customer needs and issues. Provides leadership, subject matter expertise and innovative recommendations to new or unusual contracting or programmatic issues. Supports overall understanding of contract operations and enterprise objectives.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus 10+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or JD Degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience. Experience in the following areas is preferred: Commercial sales (systems/products/services) to US Government prime contractors and direct to the US Government. International sales to prime contractors selling to non-US governments and direct to non-US governments. US government product/system/service sales to government prime contractors and direct to the US Government. IP rights to US Government prime contractors, to the US Government and to non-US governments. Field system installations and services CONUS/OCONUS for US government and for non-US governments. Has broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Demonstrates independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Demonstrates creative, innovative approaches and solutions to contractual issues and problems utilizing advanced decision-making skills. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May provide work direction to other employees as team/project leader or mentor. Contributes to shaping major market opportunities. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal regulations (FAR/DFARS) and contracting experience with Prime Contractors as wells as all contract types. Possesses demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing contractual documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels. Exhibits demonstrated evidence of successful project leadership capabilities with strong analytical/critical thinking skills. Demonstrates exemplary attention to detail and research skills. Is able to prioritize/re-prioritize with changing goals. Demonstrates proven ability to initiate and successfully implement new ideas that increase organizational efficiency and support business objectives. Is self-motivated and able to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business importance. Collaborates and works effectively cross-functionally throughout the business. Possesses demonstrated computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) to support communications and business needs. PREFERRED: Business, Legal, Finance.
