Contracts Specialist The candidate will support the sales organizations for multiple divisions of the company. Responsible for reviewing and/or developing sales contracts and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure sales contract documents are in compliance with and adhere to the company’s legal terms, conditions, and policies. Develop key relationships with business area stakeholders. Collaborate with area stakeholders to identify and refine strategies and processes to support the company’s interests. Develop strategy, review, draft and negotiate non-standard sales contracts. Prepare and/or participate in the preparation of sales proposals, agreements and related documents including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and cross-divisional customer contracts. Partner with Contracts Specialists I, III & IV, along with the company’s internal departments to support the negotiations of customer contract terms and conditions to ensure sales contracts are consistent with the company’s terms, conditions, policies and procedures. Participate in and support cross-divisional efforts to develop and implement a consistent customer contract framework and standardized terms and conditions across the company. Coordinate review and input from appropriate business functions and cross-functional teams as needed to complete contracting documents. Coordinate with the other members of the Commercial Contracting team to ensure effective workflow, consistent process execution and unified approach. Negotiate and drive positive resolution of contractual issues or disputes when required. Participate in all required job training and development courses and seminars. Other requests as assigned by Lead. Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree a plus. 3+ years of relevant experience in a corporate legal/contracting department required. Experience working with sales contracts in the healthcare industry is preferred. Demonstrated: redlining experience; problem solving and analytical skills; ability to work well/collaborate within a team required. Excellent attention to detail required. Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills required. Must possess strong technical and leadership competencies to succeed in a sales organization. Basic knowledge of contract law, including the Uniform Commercial Code required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to learn other Microsoft Office applications required.
