Corporate Legal Residency Program - Temporary Contract Associate The candidate will review and analyze legal contract documentation for information and technology services contracts, software licenses, and other outsourcing and information services agreements for financial institutions and other business entities, and identify and summarize key contract data and information for electronic records. Assist in researching legal contract issues. Work directly with senior company attorneys on at least one significant legal research project that will include preparation of legal memoranda, with senior attorneys providing critiques to assist with improving legal writing skills. Senior members of the company’s Legal Department will also offer a series of presentations to the attorneys on in-house legal functions and topics of general interest to in-house attorneys. A Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited US law school, as well as 1+ year of legal work experience (summer clerkships, legal externships and internships included) required. Bar admission is not required. Strong analytical and organizational skills and a good attention to detail required. Good understanding of basic contract principles; familiarity with technology legal issues preferred. Strong computer skills and be able to learn new information technology systems with ease. Good understanding of contract law, contract structure and contractual elements required. Strong: analytical and problem solving skills; organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines required. Ability: to communicate ideas, both verbally and in written form, in a clear, concise, and professional manner; to understand and apply learned concepts; to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks required.
