Director, Contract Management The candidate will provide supervisory oversight to direct reports (e.g., training, performance evaluation, workload leveling, project allocation, compliance to process and metrics, recruitment and selection of new employees, trouble shooting and issue resolution). Assist Global Sr. Director of Contracts with creating and implementing the strategic vision for the Contract Management department. Support business growth through the generation of innovative processes, strategic thinking, effective priority setting, a culture of continuous improvement, waste elimination, and increased customer satisfaction. Ensure effective business continuity within Contract Management (i.e. problem-solving against market concerns, resourcing issues, etc.). Implement global Contract Management policies, procedures and SOPs. Act as back-up to Global Sr Director of Contracts as needed. Facilitate integration and Contract Management alignment within and across the larger commercial organization. Ensure that established contract departmental budgets are adhered to. Ensure departmental productivity targets (including staffing) are met. Execute defined reporting requirements around Contract Management performance metrics (i.e. annual growth targets, contract TATs, etc). Partner as needed on current and future departmental organizational structure in support of the larger commercial organization. Direct the provision of solution-oriented approaches to address departmental issues. Maintain working knowledge of relevant, BU-specific technical and regulatory environments, relevant company policies (i.e. HR), etc. Review, analyze, and interpret departmental/commercial reports. Direct/facilitate negotiations with clients in partnership with Senior Management, Sales, etc. Maintain and grow new and existing key client relationships. Actively supports strategic client relationships to increase the commercial pipeline. BA or BS in business or life sciences (or equivalent experience) required. Law degree, MBA or BS in Law preferred. 14+ years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry preferred with 10+ years of contract management related experience (or equivalent). 9+ years supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated: ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize; teamwork, communication and organizational skills; problem solving skills required. Proficient in Excel and Word (intermediate) required. Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact required. Experience and comfort in a high volume, fast paced environment is essential. Knowledge of software applications (SFDC, CMS, etc) required.
