Professional Services Purchasing Senior Manager Responsibilities: Manages activities related to the sourcing, supplier evaluation and award, establishing procurement practices and ensuring cost, quality and delivery performance metrics are achieved by 3rd party service suppliers. Negotiate global agreements supporting the spend category. Draft appropriate contractual terms to achieve business, financial and contract objectives while minimizing or eliminating risk exposure Participating in organization design initiatives that focus on outsourcing services with advantageous business models achieving lowest total cost of ownership at the maximum delivery performance level. Developing Requests for Proposal, Quotations or Information for sourcing activities. Develop strategic portfolio management initiatives to enhance Avaya’s efficiency and effectiveness, while improving product margins through effective cost reduction negotiations, resourcing or re-design actions in collaboration with internal functional groups. Ensure excellence in supplier performance and influence supplier business process towards improved agility and flexibility while leading cross functional teams for implementation of selected strategic or corporate initiatives. Lead and maintain accountability for effective supplier evaluation and selection process, resulting in favorable solutions utilizing alternate suppliers. Ensure compliance with Avaya policies, procedures and directives including adherence to minimum contract terms and receipt of approvals from various stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. JD Degree or JD Degree/MBA Graduate Degree desired. 5-10 years' of related business experience procuring Professional Services. Knowledge of SOW constructs and best in class practices to drive supplier performance through KPI and SLA management. Prudent sourcing and procurement business practices and techniques. knowledge of commercial business contracts and contracting related processes. Experience in vendor performance management and vendor quality management. Demonstrated Skills: negotiation and influencing skills; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; demonstrated understanding of developing business relationships; strong analytical skills, including financial analysis.
