Min 2 yrs required
Legal Associate Duties: Review, abstract, redline, and draft commercial agreements including: Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Distribution Agreements and Work Orders. Respond promptly to requests for contracts from business owners. Maintain a strong level of familiarity with the corporate client’s contract lifecycle management platform – Apttus. Updating the Apttus system as required. Proactively helping in the updating of negotiation guidance encapsulated in contract negotiation playbooks. Embracing of, and immersion in, process improvement and quality control procedures as they relate to the processing, drafting and managing of large volumes of commercial contracts.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD from accredited law school; Bar admission preferred. 2 years relevant work experience in negotiation and drafting. Must have prior experience drafting and negotiating contracts and display excellent contracting skills. Must have strong technological skills – high level of familiarity and comfort with the full suite of Microsoft office products. Ideally with prior experience working with contract lifecycle management software and/or contracts databases/repositories. Must possess extremely high client facing communication skills. Must show a high attention to detail and the ability to remember nuanced guidance. Must possess exceptional communication skills, both within the team and in client facing situations. Must be able to schedule and organize, plan, and prioritize work and activities. Must be proactive in addressing issues. Must embrace working as part of a team.
