Attorney II The candidate will be responsible for providing legal support in North America for the company’s global business units with an emphasis on the company, and other business operations in North America and assist in the management of the company’s litigation. Draft and review contracts for a diverse internal client base including operations, purchasing, sales, marketing and engineering. Counsel management on a wide range of legal issues. Provide support to the company’s leadership and business operations in North America. Provide general legal advice and legal training for purchasing, sales and other internal clients. Provide support for the quality and engineering teams, as well as supporting the analysis of product performance issues. Provide support to other corporate groups including finance, compliance and business development. Provide support for litigation involving the company’s, but also for other businesses of the company, potentially including commercial litigation, product liability and asbestos litigation. An outstanding attorney with excellent academic credentials as well 8 – 10 years of experience with a major law firm or corporation required. In house experience preferred. A general business or accounting background or a good understanding of business related issues derived from experience will also be required. Experience should include solid background in contracts and commercial law, with international and litigation experience. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with people in a wide variety of positions, both inside and outside the organization required. Excellent analytical skills and have strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Fluency in written and oral English; additional language skills are desirable.
