Summer Contractor, Legal & Compliance Duties: Provide practical pharmaceutical legal/compliance experience to a deserving law student. This will be for the summer period. Review and draft legal agreements (i.e. manufacturing agreements, license agreements, confidentiality agreements, asset purchase agreements) Research a variety of legal issues and prepare memorandums of findings. Assist legal managers and directors with negotiating agreements with third parties. Prepare summaries for complex agreements. Assist legal managers and directors with managing outside counsel. Assist with data privacy matters. Assist in writing standard operating procedures. Assist in preparation of training materials on regulatory and legal. Participate in the Compliance Review Committee (CRC) process. Assist the Aggregate Spend Specialist in the review of HCP expenses. Assist in maintaining compliance training records and participate in Compliance learning initiatives. Assist in the preparation of departmental presentations, including Compliance. Oversight Committee meetings. Contribute to the Key Scientific Leaders (KSL) portal preparation.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences is preferred. Complete 1+ years' of a JD Degree program from an accredited law school. Knowledgeable with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Preferred: Familiar with a variety of the industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Must be organized and able to multitask. Self-starter, problem solver and who seeks out work. Able to operate in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral skills. Detailed oriented.
