Attorney The candidate will be responsible for providing legal services to military programs and businesses. Will provide legal advice and support on a regular basis to Senior Executives, Division Directors and Program Managers on a variety of matters, including all aspects of Federal Government Contracts law and general commercial contracts law. Will be responsible for directly providing or obtaining from outside counsel legal advice and support on contractual, compliance, and corporate governance matters. Will also provide support to the Division Counsel and other Senior Executives in areas such as: supervision and proactive management of outside litigation counsel; implementation and support of the Ethics and Compliance program; and training and coaching/development of junior members of the Legal Compliance and Contracts team and other employees. Will be working on proposals, reviewing and drafting contract language, advising on key contract and compliance issues, providing advice on disputes that arise on existing contracts, assisting with internal and external investigations, and leading negotiations with customers and other stakeholders. Will be expected to provide both tactical and strategic counsel that furthers the business objectives while maintaining 100% legal/regulatory and policy compliance.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Graduation from top law school. Four year undergraduate degree plus completion of Law School. 4+ years of legal experience. Government contracts experience. Commercial contracts and subcontracts experience. Top law firm training. Must have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Preferred: Aerospace or defense industry experience. Demonstrated ability to work directly and effectively with executive and senior level in-house management. Demonstrated ability in providing training to clients and/or peers. Hardworking. Poised, mature, confident, and instills trust in others. Understanding of business operations and how legal advice impacts business. Ability to manage a large, diverse portfolio of work. Ability to multitask. Self-starter – able to handle a lot of responsibility early on and run with it. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requires strong presentation and project management experience. Command of the English language.
