Business Affairs Lead The candidate will assist in handling business and legal affairs for complex agreements, and agreements with producers, writers, actors, production companies, agencies, and other relevant ecosystem stakeholders. Provide business affairs support in connection with the company’s development slate domestically and internationally. Assist in defining agreement structures, and negotiating a variety of agreements of varying sizes, and formats, both reality and scripted. Assist in financial analysis and approval of budgets for all company productions. Provide input for licensing, co-production agreements, advertising, integrated marketing, live events and guild agreements. Partner with the company’s legal affairs team, and the broader company’s Team, Partnerships, Marketing, Publicity, Standards and Practices, with respect to business affairs matters. Work in a highly cross-functional environment with the company’s Product and Engineering leadership to build initiatives and propositions. Execute in a fast-paced and high volume environment. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience and 13+ years of related experience required. 7+ years of experience in business affairs with a focus on media and entertainment required. Experience analyzing and reasoning with respect to technical, contractual and financial issues required. JD degree preferred. Experience: managing successful large-scale partnerships with producers, production companies, agencies, and other relevant ecosystem stakeholders; structuring and negotiating agreements required. Demonstrated knowledge of the company’s ecosystem required. Strong analytical and reasoning skills with respect to technical, contractual and financial issues required. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills - with demonstrated experience interacting and building relationship with senior-level executives required.
