ProfileSenior Marketing Counsel The candidate must have experience supporting a mobile marketing/advertising business, with knowledge and experience in the advertising technology space (ad servers, ad exchanges, DSPs, SSPs, etc.). Should preferably have law firm (or government) and in-house experience with digital or mobile marketing industry, transactions and technology, which may come from supporting ad agency, media, gaming and/or Internet companies. Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams in support of initiatives and campaigns. Review, negotiate and draft agreements with ad partners, advertising networks/exchanges/DSPs, publishers, production firms, media companies, talent and rights-holders. Identifying roadblocks for the business and crafting solutions to blow past them and move the business forward. Provide user privacy and data protection advice as it relates to marketing initiatives and advertising agreements. Advise Marketing team members on media/content rights and any required clearances or talent releases.Partner with other teams on marketing related vendor agreements and/or initiatives. Conduct internal training on relevant legal issues. Serve as subject matter expert within marketing law and relevant regulatory issues, and stay up-to-date on marketing related legal issues. Significant experience with intellectual property, Internet, FCC, FTC, user privacy, advertising, licensing and contract law is essential. Prior transactional experience in digital marketing space is essential. Must have 6+ years of marketing-focused legal experience including support of complex marketing related transactions. Prior in-house experience is a preferred. Should have J.D. degree and California Bar admission in good standing (or qualified for and willing to apply for/maintain Registered In-House Counsel status with the California Bar).
