ProfileLegal Counsel - Product Line The candidate will serve as an integral member of the Integrated Well Construction team ("Product Line Management Team" or "PLMT"), with their primary responsibility being to ensure the provision of legal and contracts assistance and advice in support of the Product Line Management Team's operations and business. Charged with the management of, and is accountable for, the appropriate handling and resolution of all legal issues and matters relevant to the Product Line Management Team. Report directly to the Integrated Well Construction (IWC) Product Line Manager and functionally to the Product Line Senior Legal Counsel or Product Line General Counsel. Draft, review and negotiate legal and commercial documents in support of IWC operations and business in the NAL market. Handle the IWC complex commercial contracts and contract disputes. Assist the SLR and NAL Legal Department and Contracts personnel with complex transactions in support of and related to the IWC operations and business. Provide legal and contracts support and assistance to the IWC management team. Interact with other Product Line and Geomarket support functions to manage and mitigate IWC legal exposure. Provide guidance and assistance to ensure all operations and business activities related to IWC NAL operations are carried out in compliance with local laws and regulations. Share, with other IWC Management Team members responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of compliance with Corporate Policies, Standards and Procedures and, indirectly, with legal and regulatory obligations. Assist the General Counsel and NAL General Counsel with compliance incident reviews related to IWC, undertakes Operations Assurance Reviews and coordinates legal aspects of internal audits and TCC Reviews with regard to the IWC operations. Provide overall legal advice to IWC Management and is actively involved in IWC business plans, growth strategies and operations as part of the Product Line Management Team. Draft and implement IWC specific procedures, guidelines and templates and maintains and updates content on LKMS. Participate in the Legal Department training and development initiatives and completes all assigned training. Law degree (JD/LLB or equivalent) and related national professional legal qualifications with 5+ years of post qualification experience in a law firm or corporate environment is required. Experience with integrated projects, drilling contracts or Operators, a plus. Highly proficient in written & spoken, in addition to English required. Additional languages will be an asset. Experience working for a multinational company or representation of a multinational company preferred. Previous experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry preferred.
