ProfileCorporate Counsel The candidate will work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice on a variety of legal matters, including privacy, security as well as providing key support in GDPR compliance. Will primarily negotiating SAAS contracts, re seller agreements and other corporate contracts with company’s sales and partner teams. Enjoy being continually challenged and have a high tolerance for ambiguous situations. Continue to refine and enhance our sales & partner contracting process. Build and maintain our legal document library of templates. Manage the legal contracting process for select sales and partner contracts. This includes: New contracts as well as any renewals, amendments, additional work orders, etc. Review and respond to appropriate portions of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, etc. Coordinate with internal teams to understand key objectives of each contract. Build and maintain security, privacy, internal controls and compliance policies and protocols. Continuous review of business matters that impact items noted in previous bullet.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD Degree with excellent academic credentials. Must have Washington Bar Membership. Should have3+ years of legal experience at post Law School at law firm. Experience with licensing IP, privacy and data security issues are needed. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with strong-minded clients, partners and other team members are preferred. Willingness to take on jobs big and small on a wide variety of subjects including ones that may be outside the traditional legal scope. Customer service oriented with a strong sense of humor, unquestioned ethics and integrity. Willingness to embrace innovation and change and willingness to grow company’s ever evolving growth needs, and a belief that there is always room for improvement.
