ProfileConstruction / Litigation Attorney The candidate will be responsible for handling litigation and management of cases; preparation of litigation plans; preparation of status updates, client reporting guidelines; prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial; settlement negotiations, when warranted; and communication with client and insured, in-house management and out-side parties. Write, review, and edit legal memoranda, motions, pleadings, reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents. And perform other duties and responsibilities as needed. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, rules of courts and evidence codes is essential. Requires membership in the FL State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law. Must have 1-3 years of related experience in the Litigation area, 1-2 years of trial experience preferred, construction experience preferred.
