ProfileAssistant General Patent Counsel The candidate will manage large complex patent due diligence projects inclusive of managing a related interdisciplinary team of in-house attorneys, engineers, consultants and outside counsel. Will collaborate with business stakeholders to determine objectives, establish evaluative criteria, and manage time, budgets and expectations. Conduct claim infringement analysis, and prepare detailed patent infringement charts for use in licensing and to satisfy Rule 11 requirements in patent litigation. Prepare infringement analysis of technically complex patents involving wireless devices and / consumer electronics. Present and defend patent infringement charts to prospective patent licensees. Evaluate patent validity and prepare responses to challenges raised by licensees.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field. Should have a J.D. degree and license to practice law. Must have 10+ years of directly related patent law experience obtained within a law firm or in-house legal department. Strong technical prosecution background in wireless devices and /or consumer electronics such as in video, LCD or OLED display, semiconductor design and fabrication required.
