Commercial Real Estate Title Paralegal The candidate must have extensive experience in searching complex (full) chains of title and an understanding of other related real estate matters. Attention to detail is a must. Experience with Deed Plotter is a plus. Responsibilities will include assisting lawyers with the following: performing full title exams, judgment searches, UCC searches and PACER searches, updating title and recording in multiple North Carolina counties; drafting opinions of title and working closely with title companies to satisfy requirements and obtain title policies and endorsements; reviewing and drawing legal descriptions and reviewing and summarizing title encumbrances including plats, easements, declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions, deeds, and foreclosure proceedings. Must have 5+ years of experience searching title in a commercial real estate law firm or title company. A North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal designation is preferred. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Must also possess the ability to work independently, have strong written and oral communication skills, strong problem solving skills and must have the ability to travel.
