Profile

Senior Attorney Responsibilities: Supervise the direct legal services team. Represent sexual assault survivors on civil matters, including safety, privacy, education, housing, employment, immigration, and financial issues. Provide mentoring, skill building, and leadership to promote staff growth, team cohesion, and individual professional development among legal staff. Lead effective outreach efforts and promote access to services, especially among marginalized or under-served communities. Help administer Oregon-based state and federal grants including data collection, grant reporting, and grant deliverables. Collaborate with grant and other community partners, allied organizations, and Massachusetts staff.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Current member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar. 8 years legal experience; at least 4 years as a practicing attorney in Oregon. Courtroom and litigation experience. Commitment to providing trauma-informed, survivor-centered services. Experience managing a team of attorneys and support staff. Preferred: Experience working with sexual assault survivors. Demonstrated commitment to serving marginalized or under-served communities. Experience managing state or federal grants.
First round of interviews: mid to late October
Anticipated start date: late November or early December.
