Chief Tax Officer Responsibilities : The candidate will be maintaining a global executive network of key market/tax influencers. Support and enhance the company U.S. and global brand through whitepapers, articles, blogs, marketing activities and presentations. Supporting sales and alliance engagements. Advising and contributing to strategic planning. Mentoring senior company tax professionals. Capturing and disseminating knowledge and insights associated with tax and tax technology in a way that increases capabilities and effectiveness of company leaders and technical experts. Providing directional tax guidance to commercial tax solution roadmaps at the EST level. Educating and advising on global tax trends at the Executive Committee & Board level. Other functions may be assigned and management retains the right to add or change the duties at any time.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate should have Advanced degree in Taxation MS Tax or JD. LLM, CPA ,Masters in Business or Marketing, a plus. Minimum 15 years of corporate tax experience including 10+ years leading a global multi-national tax department. Fluency across all major tax types. Strong understanding/experience with government tax authorities. Experienced in conducting tax policy conversations and negotiations with trade organizations and government officials. Strong working knowledge/relationships with Big 4 leadership community. Excellent communication and relationship skills. Ability to relate well with tax professionals both inside and outside the organization at the C-Suite level and below. Builds appropriate rapport resulting in constructive and effective relationships. Is highly effective in a variety of formal presentation settings including one-on-one, small and large group, with peers, and industry and regulatory groups. Commands attention and can manage group process in presentations and meetings. Easily identifies and discusses multiple aspects and impacts of issues and projects them into the future. Clearly and succinctly writes in a variety of communication settings and gets message across that have the desired effect.
