Collections Manager/Attorney The candidate will be assisting in the general compliance of the Collections department. Oversees and facilitates compliance in the following operations: repossessions, post charge-off collections, skip tracing, bankruptcies, incoming garnishments and liens, court representation, involuntary allotments, administrative, charge-offs, loan corrections, consumer disputes and loan modifications. Will supervises, reviews, approves, and advises assigned staff on actions involving repossessions, bankruptcies, consumer disputes, and legal action. Will provides guidance of the collection of all types of delinquent loans. Will reviews recommendations for repossession action and acceptance of consumer Credit counseling proposals. Will appears in court when necessary to represent the Credit Union and protect its interests.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must be licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Should have experience in mortgage loan collections and handling foreclosures from initial notifications through sale of the property after foreclosure. Should have proven strategies for leading operational excellence in support of the Credit Union.
