ProfileBoston office of our client seeks attorney with 5+ years of employment and labor law experience. The candidate will advise colleges and universities and other management clients on a broad range of matters, primarily public sector labor relations, labor contract administration and compliance, discrimination matters and defense, internal investigations (Title IX, discrimination complaints), disability accommodations, student affairs, institutional policies, handbooks, issues of privacy, regulatory compliance, and training of clients. Will advocate for management clients in all phases of labor relations, including agency litigation, mediation, wage and hour issues, grievance arbitration and contract negotiation. Assist clients in the review and drafting of employment agreements, company handbooks, and employer policies. Address other issues such as response to subpoenas, court orders, or other matters which may take place at large employers. Attend relevant meetings primarily with HR staff on a regular or as needed basis across the state. Experience counseling employers on compliant HR systems, processes and policies is preferred. Membership in good standing in Massachusetts State Bar is required. Frequent, in-state travel, is needed.
