Los Angeles office of our client seeks attorney with 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications law. The candidate will develop a practice focused on representing local governments, other public agencies and non-profits. Will work closely with clients to negotiate and draft a variety of transactional agreements including: macro cell site leases, street light and utility pole attachment agreements, fiber facilities agreements, and cable franchises; draft ordinances governing use of public rights of way and zoning/land use by communications providers, including wireless facilities providers and advise on processing related permit applications in compliance with state and federal law and regulations; prepare filings in proceeding at the Federal Communications Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission; provide advice on developing issues in telecommunications and on proposed legislation in the state legislature and Congress; and develop legal alerts, presentations and policy papers on communications issues affecting local governments.
