Attorney Duties: Responsible for providing legal assistance to the Vice President/ Corporate General Counsel in the development and implementation of the risk management, claims management and self-insured retention programs. Assists in the development, implementation and direction of the clinical and custodial risk management program ("Program") that exceeds legal and accreditation requirements, using techniques of automated incident/quality assurance reporting, risk identification, and loss prevention to reduce the frequency and severity of events that may result in financial loss and enhance the quality of care provided; has primary responsibility for implementing the Program at identified subsidiaries.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington. 5-7 years' experience as an attorney in litigation, preferably in the area of medical malpractice. 1+ year experience in professional liability claims management, risk management, quality assurance, and/or liability insurance. Two years experience in an acute inpatient hospital facility.
