ProfileLegal Fellow The candidate will work as part of a team using law, science, media outreach and advocacy to protect endangered species and the wild places, oceans, air, water and climate they need to survive. Will work with experienced Center lawyers who'll provide supervision, training and mentorship. Main duties: Legal research and writing, including drafting briefs and other court documents; Assistance with litigation of cases in federal and state courts; Administrative advocacy, such as commenting on proposed plans, rule makings and projects; Analysis of, and advocacy regarding, pending legislation; Media advocacy. Note: It is one-year paid fellowship to a recent law school graduate.
Qualification and Experience
Must possess A J.D. degree. Bar admission (or pending bar exam results). Excellent writing, communication, research and oral advocacy skills. Interest and experience in environmental issues and advocacy.
