Health Law Fellow The fellow will provide general legal and policy support, and will focus on increasing access to services Medicaid services for children, particularly in the context of managed care. Develop analyses concerning legal and policy developments, legislation and regulations in the areas of access to Medicaid services other issues in NHeLP’s priority areas; Develop and conduct presentations, publications, outreach, and trainings on topics related to the focus projects, with particular emphasis on state efforts to improve access to care for women and children enrolled in Medicaid; Respond to requests for legal and policy analysis from staff as well as external sources including state practitioners and policymakers.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree; MPH or related degree preferred. Knowledge of health law, especially Medicaid managed care. Knowledge of public health law, particularly in the area of overdose prevention. Excellent writing ability. A high level of independence and initiative, good judgment, creativity, and a willingness to work with others.
