Financial Business Intelligence Analyst Duties: Responsible for data mining, reporting and utilizing financial and business intelligence tools to support the firm’s strategic growth and business development efforts by providing client information and analysis that will aid in the achievement of strategic goals and tactical objectives. Will manage the collection, analysis and presentation of relevant client and practice information from internal and external sources, oversee business intelligence (BI) development efforts in the implementation and use of BI software and customized dashboards and will develop an in-depth understanding of underlying data, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and business uses to provide clear data presentations and analysis.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, information management, math, statistics or related field is preferred. Must have 2-4 years of relevant experience in legal research or business intelligence working in a law firm or professional services organization. Familiar with data visualization techniques to assure that the information being presented clearly facilitates the understanding of complex concepts, identifies new patterns, and has the ability to maintain surveillance of industry trends and market conditions to support the presentation and relevance of BI information for the firm. The ability to identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency is also required. must have strong data analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, and must have an understanding of data integrity between systems (finance & technology) along with software implementation experience with an extensive working knowledge of BI software including: Aderant Redwood, Spotlight, Aderant Expert, and Executive Inquiry System. Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a pro-active self-starter with emphasis on self-initiation and follow-through and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must display excellent judgment, a commitment to confidentiality and discretion and must possess proficient technology skills, including the MS Office Suite and advanced Excel skills using advanced formulas, formatting, charts and Pivot tables.
