Assistant General Counsel The candidate will assist the General Counsel with managing the company's legal risk in various areas of law (including contract, litigation, employment law, real estate, intellectual property, finance, corporate, and others). Will provide representation relating to matters before the EEOC. Provide legal assistance in drafting and negotiating legal documents of all types. Draft, negotiate, review, analyze, and interpret customer, vendor, and partner contracts. Manage outside counsel in litigation matters and coordinate internal requirements in connection with litigation. Manage intellectual property matters (DMCA/trademark infringement notices, subpoenas, etc.). Assist with customer matters, including restructurings, collections, settlement agreements, and creditor bankruptcy matters. Study and interpret laws, court decisions, ordinances, and other legal authorities, as needed, to deliver the foregoing services. Render legal advice to the General Counsel, other members of the company's leadership/management group. An active law license in Texas is required. Must have 2-3 years of in-house or firm experience. Should have experience in drafting employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Experience with EEOC matters and employment related litigation is preferred. First chair litigation experience is an asset.
