Corporate Attorney Job Description

'A corporate attorney serves the corporation employing them. Working with only one client makes for predictable work: you know who your client is, and in fact you are on the same team and care about their business.Unlike criminal law or working with a firm in which a range of clients come and go, working as a corporate lawyer has a different feel than working solo or working in a firm. You may work alone or with another lawyer if the corporation is small, but large corporations hire a set of lawyers, each with their own specialty. Banks, insurance companies, retail stores, manufacturing companies, and most large businesses hire such lawyers. This form of employment often offers a more predictable work schedule than working at firm, where hours can be long and unpaid.

Mid-level to Senior Investment Funds Associate

The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have private investment fund formation expertise. Should have experience with the establishment and operation of real estate funds, private equity funds, funds of funds and/or hedge funds. 

Lateral Associate - Corporate

The candidate should have 3+ years of M&A experience. Stellar academic credentials and major law firm experience required.  

Investment Management Associate

The candidate should have 1-4 years of experience in registered funds for a top international law firm. Experience in variable insurance products, private funds, investment adviser, and/or commodities work is desirable.

Seeking Mid-level to Senior Associates with private investment fund formation expertise. Candidates should have experience with the establishment and operation of real estate funds, private equity funds, funds of funds and/or hedge funds. Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.   

Mid to Senior-level Investment Funds Associate

The candidate should have private investment fund formation expertise. Must have experience with the establishment and operation of real estate funds, private equity funds, funds of funds and/or hedge funds.

Seeking Junior to Mid-level Investment Management Associates with an interest in and prior experience with investment advisory regulatory matters. Candidates' role involves counseling top-tier securities and investment management firms on regulatory matters under the federal securities, with particular focus on investment adviser registration and regulation, the development of wrap and managed account programs, SEC examinations, corporate and transactional matters. Experience with regulatory matters involving broker-dealers, commodity trading advisors and private funds is helpful./ New York or DC Bar membership is required.

Investment Management, Hedge Funds and Alternative Investments Associate

The candidate should have 2-5 years experience in the Investment Management industry, including experience in hedge funds, the Investment Company Act ('40 Act) and/or the Investment Advisers Act. Experience in working with other U.S. securities laws, fund organizational and offering documents, operating agreements, compliance issues, board meeting materials and/or fund service providers is desirable.'
