'A workers’compensation paralegal works in the area of workers’ compensation law. Workers’ compensation law is a practice area that covers workers’ compensation cases, which are procedures through which employees seek to get compensation and benefits when they are injured while working at their jobs. Paralegals in this field communicate with clients, draft documents, attend depositions, and engage in other matters to assist attorneys who practice in this area. Because workers’ compensation paralegals are not attorneys and have not been admitted to the bars of any state, they must always work under the direction of a practicing attorney.

Workers Compensation Paralegal
The candidate performs legal support assignments of a routine nature of moderate difficulty. This position involves a wide variety of specifically delegated substantive legal work and organization and administrative duties. Work is performed with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and actions. Assignments and duties require a thorough knowledge of workers' compensation defense practices and concepts. A two year associate degree in paralegal studies or two years experience in a law firm as a paralegal. Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with the public, attorneys, court officials and clients. Should have ability to operate Microsoft Office software programs and familiar with records management systems. Must have knowledge of concepts, terminology and procedures of workers' compensation and functions, jurisdictions of local and state courts and administrative bodies.
Workers Compensation Paralegal
The candidate will involve in daily and constant work helping attorneys keep their cases well-organized and moving. Will frequently speak with clients to relay information about their case, schedule important events. Should have experience in worker's compensation-TN and GA. Should have 2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in civil litigation.
Litigation/ Workers Compensation Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for handling claims from inception through resolution. The position entails extensive contact with clients, attorneys, insurance adjustors, and medical providers. Duties & responsibilities include: Opening new files; gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents; fully investigate each case; maintain contact with clients on regular basis; prepare documents and correspondence; collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of income; read and interpret medical records and reports; organize and maintain case files. 4+ years of knowledge in personal injury/workers compensation preferred. Must: be able to jump into an existing caseload and move cases forward; have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast pace environment; have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact; be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; have exceptional communication and written skills; have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software.
Workers Compensation Paralegal
The candidate must have an ABA-approved paralegal certificate. Should have 2-4 years of experience working as an Office Manager for a workers compensation office or medical office. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and EAMS is needed. Knowledge of Case Administratrion programs such as Merus Law, A-1, etc. is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is needed.
