Paralegal Instructor Job Description

United States

'A paralegal instructor is someone who trains student paralegals to become competent or certified in paralegal work. Paralegal instructors are generally experienced paralegals who choose to share their years of knowledge at local colleges or schools that teach paralegal studies. Paralegal instructors should be knowledgeable about paralegal work and standards of practice, but they should also be good teachers—articulate, patient, and able to inspire high quality work in their students. All paralegals must work under the direction of a practicing attorney when doing paralegal work, because paralegals are not attorneys and have not been admitted to the bars of any state.
