Canadian Immigration Lawyer


The candidate will be expected to handle a substantial caseload and supervise support staff, as requested by the company. These can include human rights, welfare benefits, and employment law in relation to work and business Visas. Must have 2+ years of experience in providing immigration advice and assistance for immigrants hoping to qualify for migration to Canada. Must be a member in good standing with the relevant law society or Bar of respective province in Canada. Experience in an online environment and knowledge of Internet business will be considered an asset. Should have up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of immigration law for the nominated position, and be able to deal with a busy caseload. IT skills, such as experience with the Microsoft Office Suite. As well as a detailed knowledge of immigration law matters is essential. The ideal candidate should also have knowledge of related fields. Should have hands-on experience in all aspects of immigration law, including skilled worker Visas, business and family Visas, temporary work permits and study permits. An ability to comply with the company's standards for quality and client management is required. Compliance with the requirements set out by the ICCRC is required. An ability to manage casework and deal with the day-to-day client management issues is required. An ability to produce high-quality work under pressure is required. Ability to prioritize tasks, deal with competing demands, and self-manage day-to-day activities is required. An ability to deal impartially and courteously with clients from different cultural backgrounds and with varying English skills are required. Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft office programs are required.

Business Immigration Lawyer/ Case Worker

The candidate will join the market-leading business immigration law department. Must have 3+ years' pqe and be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with complex business immigration law caseloads. Should have good solid academics and be able to work effectively as a business immigration lawyer as part of the business immigration law team.

Immigration Lawyer

The candidate will be required to work autonomously with little supervision successfully handling own busy and varied caseload covering both immigration and asylum matters. Should have 2+ years of pqe and are capable of working on own with minimal supervision. Must have Level 2 or higher Immigration Accreditation. Must have a solid understanding of all aspects of Immigration Law with a particular knowledge surrounding VISA's. Must have prior experience preparing cases for representation before the Immigration Tribunals, representing clients at the Immigration Tribunals, advising and assisting clients in presenting case to the Home Office and dealing with immigration queries from the public over the telephone weekly.

 Immigration Law Paralegal

The candidate will be assisting the department with general immigration issues such as Visas for visitors, students, work permits and family Visa applications. Will appeal and human rights issues also be within remit as well as dealing with Business Visas and British Citizenship matters. Should have 12 months of experience.

Immigration Law Solicitor

The candidate will manage a full caseload of Immigration Matters. Will consist of asylum applications/appeals, children's immigration matters, visa/sponsorship applications, nationality applications and court of appeal/judicial review work. Should have 3+ years of experience within Immigration La A level 2 accreditation is a strict requirement of this role.
