Pasadena, CA - According to http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2014/02/07/legal-services-sector-added-2000-jobs-in-january/, 2000 jobs were added to the legal profession.

The total number of legal jobs now stands at 1,137,200 — about 7,000 more than there were in January 2013 and the most since 2009. The 10-year high of 1,180,000 was set in May 2007.

This is great news for the legal profession, however there are still many more legal job seekers than openings.

LawCrossing, the leading legal job board site has 57,768 jobs listed, and 9,006 are newly advertised this week. Members of law crossing have access to the work of over 300 employees who aggregate legal jobs from employer sites and other job boards. Because LawCrossing, created by CEO Harrison Barnes, is extremely exclusive, the employers whose jobs are advertised get fewer applications, which means less competition for each job. Thousands of the legal jobs on LawCrossing come directly from employer websites. The employers post their jobs on their websites and they sit there for months with no applications—until members of LawCrossing find them. When job seekers apply to jobs that are getting fewer applications, their chance of getting the job are greatly increased.

LawCrossing searches for and advertises jobs in all areas of the legal profession, making it useful for anyone in the legal field looking for a new job. Currently, LawCrossing has 21,994 attorney jobs, 602 judicial clerkship jobs, 10,487 legal staff jobs, 239 partner jobs, 7,668 paralegal jobs, 22,599 legal secretary jobs, and 11,311 in-house attorney jobs.

“LawCrossing does not charge employers to post jobs. Hundreds of employees research the market and post open jobs on our site at no cost to employers. In addition, we contact employers and ask them to post their jobs with us, and because we do not charge them to do so, they almost always post their jobs with us when they have vacancies, giving users the first access to available jobs.” Harrison Barnes, CEO.

Those seeking jobs in the expanding legal field can benefit from this service by being ahead of the competition and taking advantage of the job research done by LawCrossing.

Success Stories

LawCrossing has the most listings of any job board I have used. It's actually a great site. The website had a lot of detail. It’s nice that you don't have to go through a recruiter if you don't want to. You can actually contact the law firm directly for the positions listed. LawCrossing had a ton of great features.
