Jeanne Ardan, the Director of Career Development, joined St. John's University School of Law in 2002. Before joining the Career Development Office, she served as the Director of Placement and Business Development at the Kelly Law Registry and as a litigator at two mid-sized firms in New York. She earned her JD, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law and holds a BA in English from Fordham University.
The Assistant Director of Career Development, James A. Conlon, is a graduate of both St. John's University School of Law and St. John's University. Prior to joining Career Development Office, he served as Senior Assistant District Attorney for the King's County District Attorney's office in Brooklyn, New York. In 2004 he was assigned to the position of General Counsel for the State Employment Relations Board, which involved overseeing all Board cases including those concerning unfair labor practice charges, representation cases, and arbitration and mediation cases. His also served as an Administrative Law Judge and served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Helena Rojas, the Career Development Office's Assistant Director of Employer Relations, joined the law school in 2000 as a recruitment coordinator. In her current position, she works with potential employers to develop career opportunities for students and alumni alike. She also coordinates the law school's on-campus recruitment programs and job fairs. Rojas holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in Student Development and Practice in Higher Education from St. John's University.
The Associate Director of Career Development, Rena M. Varghese, has been a staff member at St. John's University School of Law since 2006. Prior to taking on employment with the law school, she practiced real estate and structured finance at Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP. She graduated cum laude from New York University with a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Computer Applications. She holds a JD from Cornell Law School.
