Campbell has worked at Staples, Inc. since 1993, where she started out in the role of real estate counsel. She most recently served as the company's senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary. In this position, Campbell managed company-related legal issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, ethics, and environmental affairs. Additionally, she was responsible for company's legal affairs in Europe, Asia, and South America.

Before joining Staples, Campbell worked at Goodwin Proctor and Rackemann in Boston. She started her legal career with another Boston firm, Sawyer & Brewster. She holds a law degree from Cornell University Law School.

Currently, Campbell is a board member of the Association of Corporate Counsel-Northeast Chapter and a board director of The Trustees of Reservation, which is a nonprofit land conservation group. Since 1987, she has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

In her new position at Hilton Worldwide, Campbell will report to the company's president and chief executive officer, Christopher J. Nassetta. She will be based at the company's global headquarters in McLean, Virginia, where she will manage the Hilton Worldwide legal team.
