Man prohibited from having girlfriend
A 24-year-old Canadian man has been banned from having a girlfriend for the next three years. The unusual, rather amusing judgment came as Steven Cranley pleaded guilty to a number of charges after he attacked his former girlfriend. Cranley, now diagnosed by doctors with a dependent personality disorder, punched and kicked his girlfriend on an argument after a break-up. He also tried to stop her from calling the police by cutting the phone cord. However, when the police arrived he stabled himself with a butcher knife, which damaged his aorta. Doctors say that the man has difficulty handling rejection, which puts him at high risk to re-offend.
