'A telecommunications attorney is a lawyer who handles legal matters related to the highly regulated telecommunications industry, which includes systems of broadcasting and electronic communications such as the Internet and telephones. Telecommunications attorneys must be familiar with federal laws regarding telecommunications, as well as rules and regulations promulgated by the Federal Communications Commission. Telecommunications law is an evolving area of law, and telecommunications attorneys are called upon to provide advice on a host of issues such as wireless communications, video conferencing, and satellite and cable television services.

The candidate must be licensed attorney with 5-10 years of telecommunications, contracts, technology, IP, Cloud and software licensing background.

Telecommunications Attorney

The candidate should have 10+ years of telecommunications, regulatory and compliance background. Must have drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, such as third party and vendor agreements and experience handling regulatory and compliance issues. Must have a widespread knowledge and involvement with legal matters including M&A, SEC compliance, IP, data privacy, real estate, employment and litigation. Must be either VA, DC or MD licensed. Must have 3+ years of practicing within a law firm or legal department.

Land Use and Telecommunications Attorney

The candidate must have 3-7 years of experience focusing on land use law. Should preferably have experience with the permitting of wireless communications facilities. Must have considerable experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating real estate leases and be able to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Junior - Mid-Level Telecommunications Attorney

The candidate will do legal research, writing, and counseling of clients on legal, commercial and technology matters arising in the telecom and Internet industries. Will work on merger approval; satellite licensing and regulation; net neutrality and open Internet issues; the statutory satellite copyright licenses; programming disputes; terrestrial spectrum licensing; electronic surveillance law and cyber security and; privacy and data protection. Should have experience in satellite, Internet, wireless and international matters.

Mid-level Telecommunications Attorney

The candidate should have 3+ years of experience. Must have significant experience counseling clients in areas such as state and federal regulatory compliance and licensing, inter-carrier negotiations, arbitration and complaint proceedings, enforcement proceedings and telecommunications related litigation. FCC or Hill experience is a plus. DC Bar membership is also required.

Seeking a Mid-level Telecommunications Attorney with 3+ years of experience. Must have experience with reprsenting a broad range of domestic and international carriers (wireless and wireline), VoIP providers, application providers and trade associations on a wide range of communications and privacy law issues. Should have significant experience counseling clients in areas such as state and federal regulatory compliance and licensing, inter-carrier negotiations, arbitration and complaint proceedings, enforcement proceedings and telecommunications related litigation. FCC or Hill experience is a plus. DC Bar membership is also required.'
