Litigation Attorney Job Description

'A litigation attorney is a lawyer who represents clients in court cases and other kinds of adversarial legal proceedings such as arbitrations, mediations and administrative law proceedings. Litigation attorneys are advocates who are familiar with court pleadings and court processes. Litigation attorneys are generally well-spoken advocates and are comfortable presenting cases in front of judges and juries. Examples of litigation attorneys are commercial and complex civil litigation attorneys (who represent clients in commercial and business matters in civil court) and district attorneys, public defenders and criminal attorneys (who represent clients in criminal matters in criminal court). Litigation attorneys are generally contrasted with transactional attorneys, who typically do not go into court, but instead assist their clients in preparing legal documents and closing deals outside of courtrooms.

Litigation Attorney - Toxic Tort

The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 2-5 years of experience to work with toxic tort group. Asbestos experience strongly preferred.

Litigation Attorney

The candidate should have prior experience with motion practice, discovery dispute, and trial preparation. Copyright or IP experience is a plus. This position is a long-term temporary opportunity. Can be licensed in any state with a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience. Ivy League schools strongly preferred. 

Litigation Attorney- General Commercial And Bankruptcy

The candidate should have 3-5 years of Commercial litigation experience. AZ admission is required; the client cannot consider relocation candidates. Commercial bankruptcy experience is desirable but the client is very willing train a junior candidate. Experience in making court appearances and conducting depositions alone is required.

Asbestos Defense Litigation Attorney

The candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in asbestos and product liability litigation in NJ on defendant side. NJ Bar admission required, other courts helpful.

Seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney at the mid to senior-level with 5-8 years of experience. Must have strong employment litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions and experience with class action cases. The ideal candidate should have experience in practicing both in New York and New Jersey. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.

Litigation Attorney

The candidate should have 2-4 years of litigation experience. Insurance coverage, insurance defense and/or legal malpractice experience a plus. Must be admitted in New Jersey and New York.'
