Real Estate Paralegal Jobs Paralegals assist attorneys by performing various tasks such as identifying appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles and other materials relevant to assigned cases. A Real Estate Paralegal conducts legal research in the real estate related matters and analyze and organize the information for them and even prepare written reports that attorneys use in determining how cases should be handled. They can even get involved with drafting leases, sales contracts, sales escrow instructions, deeds, promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trusts, installment sales contracts, and other documents evidencing rights with respect to real property. They also help the attorneys prepare and analyze title reports. They work with buyers as well as sellers and they can be responsible for sales contracts, conduction title examinations, reviewing title abstracts, drafting mortgage agreements, preparing deeds, scheduling and perhaps attending closings and more. Knowledge of real estate documentation and familiarity with real estate terminology and law is hence an essential requirement. Experience with lease documentation, negotiation, and coordination is always an asset. Knowledge and understanding of business research principles, processes, and techniques are needed. Knowledge of legal concepts as well as an ability to identify complex legal issues are required of them. A strong background in landlord tenant issues is preferred.
