Family Law Paralegal Job Description

'A family law paralegal is someone who works on family law matters under the supervision of licensed attorneys in a law-related setting. Because they are not licensed attorneys, family law paralegals do not practice law, but they help in many aspects of family law matters, including those involving divorce, alimony, paternity, child custody, domestic violence, and property division upon divorce. A family law paralegal is also sometimes called a family law legal assistant.

Family Law Paralegal


The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all areas of law operations, including billing. Should have 3+ years of recent, strong experience in family law, working knowledge of MS Office. Proficiency in e-filing is a plus.

Family Law Legal Assistant

The candidate must know how to E-File. Experience with calendaring through Microsoft Outlook is required. Should have a background scheduling hearings. 1+ year experience in family, probate or estate planning is required.

Family Law Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all areas of law operations, including billing, e-filing, prepare memos, correspondence, pleadings, petitions and discovery with minimal supervision. Should preferably have degree, paralegal certificate. Must have 3 years of recent family law experience , E-Filing, Client billing.

Paralegal - Family Law

The candidate should have 1+ years of experience. Must have excellent computer skills.
Seeking a Family Law Paralegal with 2+ years' recent experience working as a paralegal in Colorado family law. Proficiency using Microsoft Office is needed.

Family Law Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible for the case work support, drafting of pleadings, monitoring of cases, court appearances, case organization, client interaction and calendaring. Must be Certified Paralegal. 3-4 years of law firm experience, specifically in family law required. Possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
