Compliance Law Jobs In simple language compliance is understood either as a state of being in accordance with established guidelines, specifications, or legislation or the process of becoming so. In the legal language, compliance generally refers to behavior in accordance with legislation, such as the United States\' , the (SOX) of 2002, or (United States Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). The law provides the basis and principles which the concerned people should adhere to. Compliance laws can be related to various areas of law including complying with corporate laws affecting companies, employment and labor laws, healthcare laws, etc. Health Care Compliance Attorneys will work to ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local health care compliance laws and regulations (e.g., the federal anti-kickback statute, the civil false claims act, state fraud and abuse laws, and the Medicaid rebate statute) and similar international laws; likewise corporate companies hire these attorneys to ensure that they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, as there is an ever-increasing number of regulations and a fairly widespread lack of understanding about what is required for a company to be in compliance with new legislation.
