In addition to their annual base salary, bonuses are paid annually based on billable hours, merit, firm-citizenship, and client origination. Referral bonuses ($10,000) are paid to associates who bring new lateral attorneys to the firm. Associates are also eligible for a one month paid sabbatical after five years of service to the firm. For new lateral attorneys, the firm generally pays bar exam and reviewcourse fees as well as certain moving expenses. Summer associates who elect to join the firm after participating in a clerkship may be eligible for the firm’s clerkship bonus of $15,000. Other benefits include:
