Risk Management Consultant
The candidate will be responsible for developing risk management guidelines for consultative services, risk management education and survey protocols specific to healthcare clients. Performs surveys and loss analysis of prospective or existing Hanover Healthcare policyholders to identify risk, exposure and controls; develops guidelines for risk management consultation; provides risk management advice according to established guidelines; develops and provides risk management education programs for Healthcare clients; develops survey protocols and conducts surveys specific to Healthcare clients; develops risk management plans and recommendations for specific accounts and participates in underwriting new business or renewal meetings to provide a loss control perspective regarding the risk, exposure and controls.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a clinical field or equivalent. Paralegal certificate, Master's or Law degree preferred. 3-5 years of healthcare risk management experience to include at least one year of claims experience is needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Automation knowledge of the applications of the ARIES system is a must. Strong communication and computer skills are essential. Clear understanding of the current healthcare risk management standards and trends/emerging issues of commercial lines business is a must.
