Job Profile
Legal Secretary The candidate will work with summer Associates as well as provide support for General Office overflow. Essential responsibilities include: typing and preparation of Legal documents, agreements, preparation of documents for court filings, correspondence and Secretary of State corporate transactional filings (i.e. mergers/acquisitions); assisting with court filings and bankruptcy schedules; managing client contacts; scheduling meetings and Travel arrangements; and organizing files. Should have 5 years of solid Legal Secretary experience and current knowledge of California and Federal court filing requirements. Diverse practice area experience is preferred. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Westlaw and/or Lexis-Nexis experience is also a must. Proficiency in MS Word must include TOC and TOA, redlining and advanced word processing skills are needed. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
