Project Assistant Duties: Review documents and extract objective and/or subjective information according to established project-specific Coding rules. Enter alphabetic, numeric or symbolic data from source documents into database or file index. Compare data entered with source documents to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to procedures. Generate bates labels per users requests, and affix bates labels on hard copy documents, or assist with electronic bates labeling. Assist with filing pleadings electronically with the Court. Maintain and organize attorney/client files -- including correspondence, pleadings, Legal research, witness files and produced documents (both hard copy and electronic files). Prepare documents for Production -- including numbering, copying, organizing, indexing, shipping, or arranging for scanning/imaging of documents to be produced electronically. Assist in preparation for depositions, trials and hearings -- including, performing searches of document databases to identify pertinent documents, and printing and suitably organizing the documents for use by the attorney. Assist in preparation for court filings -- including collecting, organizing, numbering, indexing, and exhibits. Assist with fact research -- including locating articles, documents and published cases, and printing and organizing them for review. Assists with archiving of documents by boxing, indexing and Legal Key files to be stored. Perform other duties as assigned.<br /> <br /> Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent from four-year program at accredited college or university or a combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a law firm. Post high school (or GED) education or training in Paralegal studies.
