Job Profile
Board Relations Paraprofessional The candidate will provide paraprofessional services to Legal counsel and clients in the mutual funds Industry to meet regulatory and client requirements. Working under General supervision, responsibilities include providing Legal/general support to the Firm's attorneys and their clients. Must be familiar with and observe the Firm's established policies and guidelines. Maintain positive contact with attorneys (both the Firm's and outside counsel), support Staff, clients and vendors. Observe confidentiality of client and Firm matters.Provide Paraprofessional services to Legal Staff, clients and mutual funds, including: Prepare materials for quarterly and special Board meetings for mutual funds as needed. Attend Board meetings and take, receive and interpret Board meeting notes. Research and interpret technical information to compose the minutes of Board and Board Committee meetings. Ensure timely renewal of contracts and prepare consents. Research, analyze, interpret and respond to Legal and procedural issues and questions, as appropriate. Present results at client or department meetings or training sessions. Advocate and resolve issues for and with clients, as appropriate. Assist Paralegal Supervisor, Paralegal Manager and Legal counsel, as directed. Perform research and handle special projects, as directed. <br /> <br /> The candidate must have two-year Associate Degree. Four-year Bachelor Degree, Paralegal Certificate, and/or relevant business experience is a plus. Prior business experience is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Should have excellent time Management and organization skills and able to handle multiple priorities requiring the highest level of attention to detail.Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with clients, co-workers, regulators and vendors. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office.
