Legal Director EALA The candidate will serve as the Chief Legal Counsel. Will manage all legal matters, budget, and legal team for EALA. Work with management and Director of Regulatory Compliance to pro-actively foster ethics and regulatory compliance. Counsel business unit and sales leadership, and other functions on relevant legal and regulatory issues, working closely with them to find practical, profitable growth-oriented solutions. Assist management in assessing, clarifying and balancing risk and reward in service offerings and mitigating risk to protect the company's assets and profitability. Build value-adding external counsel relationships that maximize responsiveness and effectiveness. Collaborate fully and consistently with majority-owner Company's legal group.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should be a global lawyer, with a high degree of comfort working in civil law, common law and hybrid legal systems and reconciling risk and legal principles across them. Must have 12+ years of broad experience in commercial and intellectual property matters, including in technology and consulting, in law firm and corporate multinational legal group environments. Should have experience managing geographically-dispersed legal and cross-functional teams live and virtually. Must have experience in structuring, negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial arrangements, including complicated technology consulting agreements. Should have familiarity with intellectual property law as it applies to a commercial technology setting including licensing, trademark, and patent. Should also have familiarity with competition, business tort and marketing law, as well as regulatory and compliance issues, such as anti-corruption and export controls. Must have technical understanding of and passion for technology. Knowledge of Microsoft platform would be a plus. Should have solid knowledge of commercial laws and practices in EALA, especially in technology consulting. Multiple language capability is a plus.
