Job Profile. Summer Associate Program
The program exposes summer associates to a range of practice areas and take part in billable client work and pro bono projects. Will take on real work assignments that include: drafting and negotiation sessions on transactional projects; assisting with projects related to new reporting and disclosure; attending depositions, court proceedings and client meetings; researching appellate issues for oral argument; and drafting and reviewing documents. Assignments include research, document drafting, discovery requests and client letters. Summer associates receive work assignments from different practice areas. Many assignments provide summer associates with opportunities to attend client meetings and depositions, and make court appearances. Split summer requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. In the case of a split summer, it is required that the first 5 weeks are spent with the firm.
