Legal Secretary The candidate will report to Office Administrator and Assigned Attorney. Will provide secretarial support to attorneys and Paralegals in a timely and efficient manner. Understands processing/compiling: Fee applications; Agenda binder preparation; Filing of bankruptcy documents; ECF rules/filing requirements; Chamber requirements of various judges in the Delaware court system; and E-filing requirements which includes attachments of various requirements. Will type and/or transcribe correspondence; enter attorney time. Type various documents, forms and printouts; Proofreading. Submit telephone bills; other types of billing; prepare disbursement forms, photocopying. Complete various expense reports. Prepare envelopes for mail, Federal Express or messenger Delivery. Filing; answer telephones, take messages and make appointments. Establish and maintain a variety of files and records. Maintain a calendar of court, Travel, meetings and/or other commitments. Make Travel arrangements; arrange for meeting/conference rooms. Complete disbursement requests. Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys within bankruptcy department/practice group. Previous Paralegal/secretarial experience required. Previous Legal experience is preferred. Previous law firm experience a must. Previous bankruptcy experience a plus. Should have full understanding of Delaware court filing requirements as it relates to bankruptcy activity: debtor, individual, committee and local counsel. Should have typing speed of 65-80 wpm. Good organization and communication skills are required. Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is needed.
